We have repaired a number of items for this industry including:
Switchgear
Switchgear which includes large switches, breakers and power monitoring equipment used to monitor the power at the gear. These are built by Siemens, Eaton or Schneider.
We have the expertise and experience to repair not only the electronic portions but the actual bus bar parts that are the main current carrier in the system.
We have rebuilt parts of these at our location but have also repaired these systems in the field if necessary.
Generator Controls
Generator controls used in systems that have a generator backup system. We have repaired a number of controls for all the major brands of generators like Kohler, Generac and Caterpillar. From the main controls to the active switch controls we have worked on all the major assemblies found in not only power plants but large factories and facilities that use large generators to provide continuous 24/7 compliant power.
Siemens SAMMs
ERD has also repaired Siemens SAMMs units which are a motor control system found in many power plants. These units are monitoring the critical motors used in a variety of areas within power generation and we have seen them also used in conventional coal fired power systems as part of the scrubber systems for pollution control.
Pressure Controls
Pressure controls are also found in power systems and we have worked with both steam and liquid for a number of large power generating utilities. These pressure monitoring systems are critical in keeping control of the system and include brands such as Fischer Porter and ABB.
Motor Controls
If it moves a conveyor, we have also repaired the motor controls used in the coal area of a power plant, these typically have a fuel movement system controlled by a PLC that moves the coal into the actual power furnaced. We have seen both Siemens, ABB and Allen Bradley control systems used in these large power systems.
