Machining Industry
ERD has spent decades working on a broad array of machine tools, from motor controls and controllers to interface devices and complex systems. We started in the machining industry in the 90’s doing Baldor warranty service work as an authorized repair company for the OEM. From there we developed repair processes for products made by manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Fuji and Fanuc.
These motor controls were used in various machining applications from automated lathes to full blown 4, 5 and 6 axis CNC systems by companies such as Makino and Okuma.
While working on the motor controls found in machine tools, we started expanding into other areas such as the controllers and user interface devices. We worked on both proprietary controls such as Okuma to more generic systems built for machine tool makers such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi and Yaskawa.
ERD is always ready to add to our experience in the machine arena and as of now are working on more complete and complex systems. One of the most complex projects we have done in this industry is a full simulation of the ANCA waterjet system. ERD developed a system to work on any ANCA units sent into us for repair.
