Our Warranty
Effective Date: July 29, 2026
Applies To: All eligible repairs performed by ERD Ltd. Inc.
Warranty Commitment
ERD Ltd. Inc. stands behind the quality of every repair we perform. Our warranty reflects our commitment to delivering reliable repairs using quality replacement components and proven repair processes.
1. Warranty Coverage
ERD warrants that the components repaired pursuant to a particular repair order shall be free from defects in materials, workmanship, and replacement components supplied by ERD under normal operating conditions for the applicable warranty period.
This warranty applies only to the repair work performed by ERD and is not a warranty of the entire unit or against future unrelated failures.
This warranty does not guarantee that the entire unit will remain free from future failures, but rather that the repair performed by ERD will be free from defects in materials, workmanship, and replacement components supplied by ERD during the applicable warranty period.
2. Warranty Period
ERD provides the following warranty coverage:
- Three (3) Years on most industrial electronic repairs.
- One (1) Year on mobile platform electronics, including but not limited to:
- Electronic Control Modules (ECMs)
- Electronic Control Units (ECUs)
- Transmission Control Units (TCUs)
- Instrument Clusters
- Similar vehicle or construction equipment electronics
Unless otherwise specified in writing, the warranty period begins on the original invoice date.
3. Warranty Resolution
If ERD determines that a reported failure is covered under this warranty, ERD will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the unit at no additional repair charge.
- Replace the repaired assembly or an equivalent component.
- If the unit cannot be successfully repaired or replaced after three (3) warranty repair attempts, issue a trade credit equal to the original repair value toward a future ERD repair.
These remedies constitute the customer’s exclusive remedy under this warranty.
4. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover failures resulting from:
- Abuse, misuse, neglect, or improper handling.
- Improper installation, setup, storage, or maintenance.
- Operation outside the manufacturer’s published specifications.
- Electrical anomalies, including power surges, overvoltage, undervoltage, lightning, phase loss, improper grounding, improper power sources, or other external electrical events.
- Water, chemical exposure, corrosion, contamination, excessive dust, excessive heat, excessive moisture, vibration, or other environmental damage.
- Unauthorized repairs, alterations, modifications, or tampering.
- Software, firmware, parameter settings, user programming, cybersecurity events, or data loss.
- Consumable items or components not repaired or replaced by ERD.
- Normal wear, aging, or deterioration of components unrelated to the original repair.
- Physical abuse, accidents, fire, flood, natural disasters, transportation damage after shipment from ERD, or other events beyond ERD’s reasonable control.
Due to the nature of industrial electronic equipment, ERD does not provide warranty coverage for circuitry, components, or failures unrelated to the original repair performed.
5. Warranty Claims
To obtain warranty service, the customer must:
- Notify ERD before the warranty period expires.
- Complete the Warranty Claim Form and submit it to ERD for review.
- Once ERD has reviewed the completed Warranty Claim Form, a Return Material Authorization (RMA), along with shipping instructions, will be issued.
- Return the unit with the completed Warranty Claim Form (or a copy) and the issued RMA number to:
ERD Ltd. Inc.

6. Warranty Returns – Problem Description Required
All warranty returns must include a clear description of the reported failure, problem, or symptoms being experienced. This information is necessary for ERD to properly evaluate and process the warranty claim.
If sufficient information is not provided, ERD will contact the customer to request the details needed to proceed. The warranty evaluation may be placed on hold until the requested information is received.
If ERD does not receive a response after reasonable contact attempts within 10 business days, ERD reserves the right to close the warranty evaluation and return the unit to the customer.
Any applicable shipping or freight charges associated with the return will be handled in accordance with ERD’s shipping terms and conditions.
7. Warranty Review Process
Upon receipt of a warranty claim, ERD will evaluate the returned unit to determine whether the reported failure is related to the original repair performed.
The determination of warranty coverage is made solely by ERD based on technical evaluation and inspection. The fact that a repaired unit is not operating properly does not, by itself, indicate that the failure is covered under warranty.
If the failure is determined to be related to the original repair, ERD will provide warranty service in accordance with this warranty.
If ERD determines the reported failure is not covered under warranty, the customer will be notified of the evaluation results. Invalidated warranties may be subject to a charge of 10% of the original repair charges or a $350 minimum. If the unit is repairable, ERD may provide a quote for additional repairs, which will be performed only with customer approval.
8. Limitation of Liability
ERD’s liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair, replacement, or trade credit described herein.
ERD shall not be liable for:
- Lost production.
- Lost profits or revenue.
- Downtime.
- Labor costs associated with removal, installation, troubleshooting, reinstallation, programming, or commissioning of the unit.
- Rental or replacement equipment costs.
- Shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- Incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages.
In no event shall ERD’s total liability exceed the amount originally paid for the repair service.
9. No Other Warranties
Except as expressly stated herein, ERD makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
This warranty is non-transferable and applies solely to the legal entity that originally purchased the repair service from ERD. The warranty does not extend to any parent company, subsidiary, affiliate, successor, assignee, or other third party unless otherwise agreed to in writing by ERD.
